Picked up a pro-lift (mower lift) on craigslist and the bottle jack is funky. According to the manual it's a T-5300-1 bottle jack made by hein werner. If I turn the valve open or closed it operates pretty much the same way: the ram rises and will slowly fall if I put pressure on it.
