5 Σεπ 2021 · It is easy to see from an area of darkness into an area of light, while the reverse is difficult. But darkness (all darkness) counts as heavily obscured area, and heavily obscured areas block vision entirely according to the rules. That means that vision in both directions is blocked if any darkness is between any two creatures.
2 ημέρες πριν · In D&D 5e, Darkness is a 2nd-level spell capable of creating magical darkness that nobody—including creatures with Darkvision—can see through. It’s a useful spell, especially when you need to block an enemy’s line of sight or make a quick escape.
26 Απρ 2021 · If you can inflict saves blind (like a dragonborn's breath weapon), the darkness doesn't impact the inflicter, either. Note that the cover rules don't apply just for darkness. Here's an excellent post (the one by Chicken_Champ) attempting to get into the often contradictory weeds of 5E visibility.
There are d&d nights at both Hex and co locations, upper west and upper east sides (Manhattan if you dont know yet). Really cool board game bars with regular tourneys and game nights. Set price for a whole day to play any of their open games or bring your own. Very easy to join people and play whatever.
Darkness creates a heavily obscured area. Characters face darkness outdoors at night (even most moonlit nights), within the confines of an unlit dungeon or a subterranean vault, or in an area of magical darkness .
