Wild Shape (CR 1/4 or below, no flying or swim speed) Description. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

My druid player loves wild-shaping into a bear and I would totally use this if that was one of your cards. I understand you don't want to clutter up your space but I do think CR would be useful info here.
