16 Νοε 2020 · The 2.7 liter engine originally had a tendency to generate sludge which caused engine failure. Similar problems have been appearing on Toyota and Volkswagen engines.
6 Οκτ 2003 · have your engine checked out for sludge build-up asap. it's a known problem, however chrysler isn't admitting it yet. most engines begin to have problems around 70,000 or so.
12 Νοε 2004 · If there's metal in the oil and it's fouling your cam sensor, you've got some big problems. Do a search for "rod knock" and "engine bearing" to find out more about the issue that effected my trep.
18 Αυγ 2012 · I'm working on a 07 Base Charger with a 2.7 V6. Was towed to shop with radiator already removed. Customer complained that vehicle overheated on the road and they had it towed to a friends house to try and repair. Seems that this was the third time that this has happened.
10 Ιουν 2016 · The vast majority of 2.7 problems were not from rumored under size oil passages. The early style separator plate gasket very often either slowly leaked coolant into the oil and caused sludge, or quickly failed and filled the crankcase with coolant, that was the main issue.
7 Αυγ 2017 · Some of the issues you're describing were caused by my EGR Valve that failed. I had rough Idle, loss of power, surging at low cruising speed, misfiring, and stalling when accelerating from a stop.
