Accessible, Affordable Housing. We work to improve housing options for people with disabilities in Louisiana. If your housing rights have been violated because of your disability in violation of the Fair Housing Act, we may be able to provide assistance.
Rental Opportunities for Louisiana. The Louisiana Housing Corporation directs persons with disabilities to programs and resources such as The Permanent Supportive Housing Program and the Project-Based Voucher Program. Find out more about what these programs can offer tenants.
The annual award amount prior to Spring 2024 was $5,787.52. The annual award amount starting in Spring 2024 will be $2,380.00. Continuing students will be allowed to complete the program, but new students will not be accepted, effective fall 2023.
Information on all the scholarships and grants LOSFA provides can be found here as well as the requirements for each. TOPS and TOPS Tech requirements are decided by Louisiana State Legislation. There is no application fee or fees of any kind when applying for scholarships and grants with LOSFA.
Students must meet the following requirements each semester to receive payment for TOPS: Be enrolled full-time on the 15th day of class each semester. Earn 24 credit hours each year over the fall, winter session, spring, spring intersession, and summer semesters.
