A. TOPS awards are paid directly to the postsecondary institution the student is attending. Institutions submit payment requests to LOSFA for students who are enrolled fulltime on the 15 th class day
Students must meet the following requirements each semester to receive payment for TOPS: Be enrolled full-time on the 15th day of class each semester. Earn 24 credit hours each year over the fall, winter session, spring, spring intersession, and summer semesters.

The annual award amount prior to Spring 2024 was $5,787.52. The annual award amount starting in Spring 2024 will be $2,380.00. Continuing students will be allowed to complete the program, but new students will not be accepted, effective fall 2023.
