TREATMENT FOR ENTROPION In young dogs, a procedure known as "eye tacking" is employed. Sutures are placed in affected lids to reposition the lid margin in an everted manner. Sutures are left in 8-10 days, then removed. Some dogs can be re-sutured several times if unsuccessful.
Surgical correction is the only permanent way to treat entropion in dogs. The surgical procedure, called blepharoplasty, involves removing tissues from the upper and/or lower eyelid to eliminate the inward rolling of the eyelids.
Recovery and Ongoing care. After your dog’s surgery they will be sent home with eye drops and a head cone/buster collar to stop them rubbing their eye(s). You will need to make sure they keep their buster collar on 24/7 until your vet says otherwise.

If the entropion is significant enough to warrant treatment, the excess skin of the outer lids can be removed in a simple surgery called blepharoplasty. (Essentially, this is plastic surgery, so you can tell everyone your pet is having "his lids done".).
As the puppy grows, the entropion is monitored to see if resolves on its own. If it doesn’t, then a more definitive surgery can be done at four to five months of age. Some cases of entropion have been successfully treated, temporarily, using injections of hyaluronic acid (HA).
