16 Οκτ 2016 · I absolutely love how Dolby Pro Logic IIx expands stereo to 7.1 channel sound. In my opinion it is much better than competing up-mixing coders including DSU and the ones by DTS. I wish Dolby improved DPLIIx to DPLIIIx so that it works with Atmos 5.x.2 or 7.x.4 and remains compatible with 5.x and 7.x.

Dolby Pro Logic II music (and movie) support in 2022. I discovered and fully embrace Dolby Pro Logic II (music and movie) for nearly 3 years now. With my 300$ Yamaha 7.2 amp and nice Jamo S809 speaker set I’m currently experiencing very immersive stereo to 5.1 up mix with Dolby Pro logic II.
