Winter (c. October 2005 – November 11, 2021) was a bottlenose dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Clearwater, Florida, United States, and was widely known for having a prosthetic tail. Winter was the subject of the 2009 book Winter's Tale, the 2011 film Dolphin Tale, and its 2014 sequel.

Winter and Hope, stars of Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2, are undoubtedly our most famous rescued animals! This is a top view of the new Ruth & J.O. Stone Dolphin Complex, where our rescued bottlenose dolphins live. The new complex holds a total of 1.5 million gallons of filtered water from Clearwater Bay and has five connected pool areas.

13 Ιαν 2022 · With heavy hearts, Clearwater Marine Aquarium announced that Winter the Dolphin passed away on November 11, 2021, due to an intestinal abnormality. Winter the Dolphin has encouraged millions around the world through her remarkable rescue story. Her enduring spirit will live on in our hearts forever and her legacy will continue to inspire.
