Opera Atelier’s 24/25 season opens with Handel’s ravishing pastorale Acis and Galatea. Based on Ovid’s tale of the water nymph Galatea and her doomed love for the Arcadian shepherd Acis, the opera/ballet is full of all of the sensuality and humour we associate with 18th century storytelling at its very best.

Opera Atelier's productions are performed with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra on period instruments, and incorporate music, dance and theatrical staging with strong production values.
