The Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission consists of two polar-orbiting satellites that are positioned in the same sun-synchronous orbit, with a phase difference of 180°. It aims to monitor changes in land surface conditions.
For example, S1A is Sentinel-1A and S2A is Sentinel-2A. By clicking on the record, you will be able to see the extent of the Sentinel scene that you want to download. To download the image, all you have to do is select the “Download” button on the right.
SENTINEL-2 is a European wide-swath, high-resolution, multi-spectral imaging mission. The full mission specification of the twin satellites flying in the same orbit but phased at 180°, is designed to give a high revisit frequency of 5 days at the Equator.
The Sentinel-2 Level-2A Collection 1 product provides orthorectified Surface Reflectance (Bottom-Of-Atmosphere: BOA), with sub-pixel multispectral and multitemporal registration accuracy. Scene Classification (including Clouds and Cloud Shadows), AOT (Aerosol Optical Thickness) and WV (Water Vapour) maps are included in the product.
Uncover Sentinel-2 mission specifics, applications in land monitoring, emergency management, security, and climate change. Delve into product details, processing algorithms, and data quality.
