27 Σεπ 2024 · AIM for Mac could be a good option for those that love to customize their messenger client with sounds but unless you're an AOL mail user, there are better alternatives, such as Adium, out there.
At the moment you can:- - Fake log in with any username or password- Chat with SmarterChild who will respond with the same thing (DumberChild, atm)- Enjoy the old sent/received message sounds- Set an Away Message from the Buddy List’s file menu.-
7 Οκτ 2023 · Go to Mail on your mac and add account but DON'T click AOL, click other. Enter your verizon.net email address and the app specific password you copied. Enter the info below for incoming/outgoing mail servers: Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.aol.com. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net. Good luck

15 Οκτ 2022 · UPDATE 2-19-2021: as far as I can tell, there’s no way to make AOL mail work with Apple’s Mac Mail app on macOS 10.9.5 (Mavericks). It doesn’t matter how you try, it’s not going to work. If you want to get your AOL mail on your Mac without resorting to doing it in a browser (yuck), I recommend the Thunderbird mail app.
