16 Οκτ 2023 · The typical doxepin dosage for anxiety and depression in adults is 75 mg to 150 mg daily. For insomnia, most adults take 6 mg of doxepin at bedtime. And doxepin cream is applied 4 times a day for up to 8 days to help treat itchy skin.
Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressant well known by dermatologists for its antipruritic effects when used at low doses. However, it is not commonly known that the US Food and Drug Administration approves doses up to 300 mg/day.
