To get to Hidden Maps, you need to defeat 3 star or 4 star MMs [Mission Maps] and grab the scroll the boss drops.
Is it worth avoiding DS1 so you don’t have to spend points blocking and skipping dragon tasks? It’s only a level 60 account. The only mid lvl gear I can think that I missing out on is the upgrade from rune to barrows gloves.
Go to Melzar's Maze, north-west of Rimmington. Enter the door with the maze key. Kill the small zombie rat with the long tail, pick up the red key and use it on the north-west door, then go up the ladder.
