But if you decide that the ceiling is the best place to showcase your new model, fishing line is traditionally the preferred method of hanging a plane, it is strong and thin so will support your model without imposing on its appearance.
I have a model aircraft (Monogram's 1:48 B-29 kit) that I've started building and came to the realization - I don't have enough space in my normal display area for it. So, I came up with an idea to suspend it (and another kit as a diorama) in my garage/shed from some open/exposed cross beams.

Fixing your layout from the ceiling and then lower it onto a table to use. If so how did you go about doing it so everything was safe, and how did you fix it safely in the raised position.
