Duke faculty, staff, and students are automatically provided Office 365 accounts. Office 365 features include: Mailbox sizes of 100GB for users. Unified email and calendaring across the university and health system. Web and client applications for accessing mailboxes. Modern calendaring system.
Modern authentication uses Shibboleth to securely log Duke users into their accounts. Start Microsoft Outlook. The Searching Accounts window opens and prompts for your email address. Enter your Duke email address and click Connect. The Duke Log In window appears. Log in with your NetID and password. Outlook opens.
You may now open Outlook. You'll be prompted for username and password. Enter your netid@duke.edu as the username and NetID password in the password field. (Ex. for NetID duketester, the username field would read duketester@duke.edu).
Access your Duke email account at the following address https://mail.duke.edu. Log in with your NetID, password, and MFA (if necessary) In the top left corner of the email site, click on the App launcher (box with the 9 mini squares). Choose the "Microsoft 365" link.
