25 Μαΐ 2023 · Thankfully gardeners and growers both saw the need for smaller, more compact crepe myrtles—or crape myrtles or crapemyrtles if you prefer—that didn't need annual pruning. Growers created new selections of dwarf and semi-dwarf types that bloomed well, resisted disease, and were hardy.
One of the most stunning summer flowering shrubs in our gardens, the Cherry Dazzle Dwarf Crape Myrtle is one of our favorites of the Dazzle Crape Myrtle Series. The deep green foliage of Cherry Dazzle becomes literally smothered with bright cherry-red flower clusters in summer.
Razzle Dazzle Cherry Crape Myrtle is easy to grow in well-drained soil and full sun. It is very low maintenance requiring little if any pruning to keep a nice shape. That being said, spent flowers can be removed to encourage a possible second flush of flowers.
This dwarf shrub packs a double punch with vibrant foliage and flowers! New leaves emerge burgundy-red, then brilliant fuchsia-purple blooms appear early in summer, providing great summer color into fall.
This is the single-trunk topiary tree form of the Berry Dazzle Dwarf Crape Myrtle. 9 Ιουν 2023 · Crepe myrtles—or crape myrtles and crapemyrtles if you prefer—range in size from dwarf selections that grow less than 3 feet tall to several large varieties that reach upwards of 30 feet. Knowing the mature height of a plant before you buy it and planting the proper size for the site will save you much heartache (and backache) in the future.
