4 Απρ 2013 · If you loosen the screws on the front of the carb at the base plate 1/4 turn and it doesn't change idle speed, go back in and go 1/4 turn tighter than when you started to see if it drops idle. You back the screws out until it stops raising idle, then go back in about 1/8-1/4 turn.
22 Μαΐ 2018 · No matter how lean I set the idle a/f it always runs at around 12.5-12.8 at idle. The correction varies from -20 to -25. Cruise (14.3) and WOT (12.8) are great. There is also a stumble going from idle to just off idle (about 12-14 on the TPS). The a/f jumps from 12.5 at idle to 15+.
5 Ιουλ 2008 · I've been having a bog from idle on WOT with my Edlebrock 600CFM 1406 carb every since I installed an Air Gap intake. I tried changing jets, spring, rods, timing, moving the accelerator pump arm, etc. NOTHING worked.
29 Αυγ 2012 · I had the same stumble off idle with a 700CFM Edelbrock carb. I fixed it by buying a 770 CFM Holley Street Avenger.
6 Μαρ 2021 · It still stumbles off idle a little, sometimes going to full “LEAN” message on the AFR gauge and the same for a 3rd gear full throttle pull. It’ll go full “LEAN” on the gauge on initial acceleration before catching up and ending up in the 12’s at the upper rpm range. The carb is fairly new.
10 Μαρ 2013 · Ok, my friend and I have been trying for several days to get the stumble out of the carb in his Roadster. Its a Edelbrock 1406 model. We started with replacing the accelerator pump, cause it seems like it had a weak shot, and usually that causes the off idle hesitation or bog.
