Malaysia is on track to achieve near-universal completion of secondary education by 2030. The primary school completion rate has reached a high of 98.4% in 2020 (Figure 3.4). The secondary school completion rate was 90.8% in 2019, up from 85.1% in 2016.
ABSTRACT. The Malaysian education systems have a long history before the Pre-World War II since 1824 to 1957, and it continued to reform from 1957 to 2020. This paper was written chronologically by addressing 201 years of Malaysian education reforms, events, reports and frameworks from past, present and future.
