Since dehydration negatively affects the vocal folds and caffeine is considered a dehydrating agent, it can be hypothesized that voice might be negatively affected by caffeine intake. This systematic review aims to summarize and appraise the available evidence regarding the effects of caffeine on voice.
This may lead to a failure to identify caffeine-related problems and offer appropriate interventions. This article describes the clinical effects of caffeine consumption in a variety of psychiatric disorders and offers some guidance on assessing and managing caffeine-related problems.

Caffeine is considered to be a dehydrating agent with detrimental effects on the quality of voice of persons ingesting it. This has led medical personnel dealing with voice disorders, especially in the case of professional voice users, to give advice against the use of caffeine.
5 Απρ 2022 · Effects of short-term caffeine consumption on speech and sound reception in individuals with normal hearing. After an hour of caffeine consumption, the ANL decreases, in other words, the individuals tolerate higher levels of speech noise, which is also dependent on the dose of caffeine.
