24 Οκτ 2024 · After Eng Wah Cinemas rebranded itself as WE Cinemas in 2011, it made a comeback to the cinema business in 2015 with the opening of a new 10-screen multiplex at 321 Clementi. This return came after a two-year hiatus following the closure of its West Mall and Suntec City outlets.
In 1972, Eng Wah Organisation opened the Toa Payoh Cinema in Toa Payoh Town Centre. In November 1997, the cinema converted into a shopping mall, Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre , comprising retail outlets and a 5 hall cineplex.
2 Αυγ 2012 · The 1200-seat 6-screen Eng Wah cinema at Sun Plaza was the main source of entertainment for the residents of Sembawang when it was opened in 1998. It closed in 2009 after a decade of operation. The Eng Wah cinemas at Suntec and West Mall (Bukit Batok), both opened in 1998, are still in operation.
