18 Μαρ 2024 · EPA has finalized amendments to the Accidental Release Prevention Requirements for Risk Management Programs under the Clean Air Act, Section 112 (r) (7). The amendments aim to modernize EPA's RMP regulations as required under Executive Order (EO) 13650.
A. EPA has rescinded requirements to report in the risk management plan any information associated with the rescinded provisions of third-party audits, incident investigations, safer technology and alternatives analysis, and chemical hazard information availability.
Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act Amendments requires EPA to publish regulations and guidance for chemical accident prevention at facilities that use certain hazardous substances. These regulations and guidance are contained in the Risk Management Plan (RMP) rule.
