20 Νοε 2008 · Wondered how good ER Shaw barrels were. What kind of accuracy has been gotten out of them. Notice that they only do 1 in 8,10 or 12 twist in a 308 Cal. Will the 1 in 8 work for 208 to 240 grainers or is there gonna be some problems with the twist????

21 Ιουν 2017 · Many barrels with common over bore used by LR shooters have 1000-1500 rounds life. BR tradition would have thorough cleaning every 10-20 rounds and then needing 1-3 foulers IMO cut down on cleaning till it actually meaningfully effects accuracy.
19 Σεπ 2013 · IMO ER Shaw barrels are a "Medium Tier" barrel. Usually better than the run of the mill mass produced barrel but not up to the quality and consistency of a Top Tier custom barrel maker. I would rate ER Shaw with Wilson Barrels and Green Mountain Barrels.
6 Ιαν 2017 · I'm going to put a 26" heavy .909" barrel on it and I use it for 800-1100 yard shooting. the factory savage barrel on it was awesome and I achieved 1/8 MOA 200 yard groups with my hand loads and would like to get the same accuracy out of the new barrel.
