It's the Eastsound CD-E5 Signature Edition, the best CD player to come out of China, maybe ever. Got it a long time ago, but the door has been stuck for many years. Just fixed it, just needed a little nudge that's all.

The E5 carries the scales adroitly, being sufficiently agile to not miss detail and follow through on the notes. Due to its exceptional bass, this remains true even for the lowest piano register. Decays fade evenly into oblivion, then the sustain pedal descends and fini.
The ESound CD-E5 SE (Signature Edition) is a hefty player by any means. It is bigger and heavier than my power amp, and weighs 13 kilos. The casing is made out of substantial slabs of aluminium, the thinnest of which is the top plate, at 3 mm.
