Our Etude tasting focuses on the gem of the Carneros, our Pinot Noir. We will introduce your guests to Napa Valley, California and then take you on a journey through Oregon and Santa Rita Hills. The winery is focused on sustainable practices and we are proud to share our story with you.
Our Vineyards. Etude is located in the Carneros Region, which is the only American Viticultural Area (AVA) located at the crossroads of two major regions: Napa and Sonoma. Carneros AVA. Home to Grace Benoist Ranch.
Etude’s Pinot Noirs, including a highly esteemed bottling made from rare heirloom varieties, and its small production of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir Rosé are vinified from grapes grown in the incredible Carneros region.
Etude specializes in two classic red varieties – Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Etude's production includes a highly esteemed bottling of rare "Heirloom" Pinot Noir clones and a small production of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir Rosé, vinified from grapes grown in the incredible Carneros region.
Etude was established 1982, when founding winemaker Tony Soter set his sights on the cool-climate Carneros region in the pursuit of producing world class Pinot Noir. As a winemaker, Tony always had a fascination with Pinot Noir.
Etude specializes in two classic red varieties – Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Though modeled on the best from Burgundy and Bordeaux, these wines speak clearly of their contemporary California origins, combining rich, ripe fruit with an elegant structure and opulent mouthfeel.
