3 Δεκ 2014 · 4. On Windows try ctrl + alt + E or AltGr + E. On keybords where this shortcut is already used (e.g. on Polish Programmers keybord AltGr + E produces 'ę'), use AltGr + U. If this does not work for you, take a look at How to type the euro sign topic in help for Microsoft Office. Share.
This happened to me just now, in Turkey we also have the euro key mapped under E, and accessible using altGr. I tried to keyboard tricks mentioned here to no avail. The other keys seemed to work fine. I then saw that the function lock light was lit. I pressed the FnMode key on the right corner of the key, and the problem was gone.
I was asked to look into an issue where the Euro symbol (€) would refuse to be inserted when pressing AltGr+E (the default key combination for the symbol on a German keyboard). Both in Word and Outlook, pressing the key combination has no effect. The client assured me that the issue is global (affects all applications).
31 Μαρ 2017 · On the Text Services and Input Languages screen, click Add. On the Add Input Language screen select English (India), and then select the India keyboard check box. Restart the system. Now your keyboard will be able to write rupee symbol. For writing rupee symbol now on wards use Ctrl+Alt+₹ (4 or $ on regular key).
I'm trying to delete the AltGR + E shortcut for making a euro-sign € via remapping in the registry in Windows. I have found out that remapping in the registry is possible by searching some Stack overflow questions and found out that there is a Windows topic about the same issue. But I do not have the skills to code it myself :
One possible way is to open up the Character Map. This is located at Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map. The character map seems too complicated. I have now found that in MS Office I can use CTRL-ALT-E to get the euro sign. Nice and easy.
Navigate to Keyboard. Find the Special Characters Key section. Enable the Compose Key and select your preferred key, such as the Right Alt or Menu key. Once activated, you can use the Compose Key to input special characters. For example, pressing the Compose Key followed by o and c will produce the copyright symbol: ©.
26 Σεπ 2016 · ALT-GR is part of a keyboard language. If it doesn't work, then you need to alter your keyboard layout language to a different one, for example United States International. If it worked before, then you likely switched to a different layout. The shortcut key for that is CTRL-SPACE or ALT-SHIFT.
