MARRIED TO ADVENTURE: PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE TRAVELS OF MARTIN AND OSA JOHNSON. From 1917 to 1936, Martin and Osa Johnson set up camp in some of the most remote areas of the world and provided an unmatched photographic record of the wildernesses of Kenya, the Congo, British North Borneo and the Solomon and New Hebrides Islands.

Martin and Osa Johnson were the namesake, inspiration and background story for the 2006-2010 Martin + Osa clothing line and national chain of 28 Martin + Osa stores launched by American Eagle Outfitters. Martin + Osa used references to the Johnsons on their clothing and accessories.

26 Ιουλ 2019 · Soon Osa and Martin had fallen in love and on 15 May Martin and Osa eloped. Martin signed up with the Orpheum Vaudeville Circuit in Chicago in 1911 and he and Osa travelled widely with Martin giving his travelogues and showing photos of the South Pacific island.
6 Νοε 2020 · Martin and Osa Johnson are seen here atop their travel trunks in 1910 as they traveled the country on the vaudeville circuit, showing glass plate slides and films of Martin’s trip to the South Seas with Jack and Charmian London.
This clip shows some of the amazing footage from the Johnson's African Flying Safari...it is among the earliest aerial footage of the continent, and is the most encompassing as Martin + Osa flew 60,000 miles from Cape Town to Cairo.
