6 Φεβ 1999 · Portugal would order 40,000 Guedes rifles from OE.W.G. in 1886. When OE.W.G started to work on the contract for the Guedes rifles then encountered issues which they claimed were due to the rifles design. Portugal then choose to stop with the Guedes rifles and instead move to the Kropatschek Rifle.
Original Item: One one Available. In 1886 ALFRED VON KROPATSCHEK designed an 8mm rimmed cartridge rifle that became the fore runner to the French LEBEL. Known as the 1886 Kropatschek Rifle it's big customer was PORTUGAL.
4 Απρ 2008 · Das Gewehr Kropatschek auch bekannt als Steyr Modell 1886 hat die größte Länge von den Gewehren in meiner kleinen Langwaffensammlung. Gekauft habe ich diesen "Prügel" Mitte der 70ziger Jahre schussfähig und frei verkäuflich ab 18 Jahre.

21 Μαΐ 2023 · Portuguese M1886 Kropatschek Infantry Rifle. One of the early heavy duty black powder, bolt action rifles akin to the Japanese Murata and the Mauser 71/84. Although designed for the black powder cartridge, it was later found that this sturdy rifle was capable of handling the newly developing smokeless powder cartridges.
20 Δεκ 2010 · In 1878, the Portuguese navy purchased a quantity of Kropatschek rifles from Steyr. Known as the Espingarda Werndl Mo. 1878 Marinha (Josef Werndl was the owner of Steyr), it was chambered for the Austrian 11mm scharfe Patrone M.1877 (Cartucho 11mm m/78).
