If you saved your chats in secure storage from Messenger, you can restore your chats on a new device with a PIN. This is the PIN that you created when you first turned on secure storage.

Resetting your security method means you’ll have to delete your secure storage. When you delete your secure storage, your encrypted chat history will be permanently deleted. Messenger can’t reset your security method or restore your backup for you.
