   But no, this surprise was ruined because Patisserie Valerie thought it was great idea to use a parcel delivery service (DPD Local). The item was treated like a regular product delivery and not a food item (Birthday Cake). A time slot was provided for delivery which was normal.

   On our conversation about the cake and the delivery, we were told that delivery would take place from 9am-3pm and it would be free of charge - none of these happened. I was charged for almost £13 pounds for delivery and the cake arrived almost at 7pm.
