8 Δεκ 2022 · Though the revised form will not become mandatory until April 1, 2023, ATF encourages all FFLs to begin using the amended Form 4473 immediately, which can be downloaded and printed from the ATF’s website.
On the Form 4473, customer will complete questions 19 and 20. Question 21.m.1. will have a “no” response, and question 21.m.2. will be left blank. FFL may process firearms background check.
An ATF Form 4473 is also known as the Firearms Transaction Record form. Licensed firearm dealers must complete this form when they may a lawful sale. Failure to complete this form is a violation of federal law.
