Entei is basically a better Flareon (better bulk on average, much better speed, better movepool, worse attack though), and last generation even he is languishing in the depths of NUBL. Arcanine is also comparable and was NU last generation.

Flareon isn't just bad for smogon, it's bad in single player. You could pretty easily just code its Speed and Special Defense to switch and you end up with a functioning Pokemon, but even then it's a shitty Darmanitan.
