Not even W/Products seems to have numbers on their 1.94 1.5 76cc heads, except at .500 lift. I'd love to see the two compared, so as to see at what point in lift, the 2.02 1.6 heads gained flow. The S/R Heads and the S/R Torquers are exactly the same casting.

We minimize production iron heads, but with a little bit of work they can be made to perform admirably. A classic example is the GM Performance Parts 492 (casting number) stock replacement head for the early 64-cc iron heads. We included this head in our test data, and it flowed well.

The charts below show the difference between stock flow numbers as well as the flow after our modifications are made. But there can be probelms here too. For example, we have seen as much as 15-20 cfm difference in stock heads that have the same part numbers.
21 Ιαν 2022 · When looking to increase the capabilities of an LS cylinder head, typically CNC porting goes a long way to improve airflow, as well as changing the valves and springs for better performance. LZ1 heads can be CNC-ported to improve on flow and milled for higher compression.
There is more to a cylinder head than just intake and exhaust port flow, but for small-block heads, flow numbers are a great indicator of performance potential. If you are building a big-inch small block of at least 425 inches, the AFR 220 head is an excellent choice.
