There are SO many videos to help on YouTube free of charge. Just type in beginner flute lessons and you’ll be right. Unless you’re aiming to be a professional flutist, if you have a creative mind and focus you can do it without the extra expense.

Proper flute lessons, even done remotely, will save you a lot of frustration and fumbling around in the long term. I also recommend looking for a nice flute book full of scales, rhythmic and dynamic exercises, and etudes.
I would highly suggest renting a flute rather than buying it. The cheapest decent student flute would be around $300. Self-learning is doable but difficult. JustAnotherFlutist and The Flute Channel are good resources for those starting out. Once you're able to, get a teacher.
