Electronic VR turned off 3. Active D-lighting for video turned off. shows me anything but Peaking not available (grayed out) in Video mode. Ellis Vener

Focus Peaking. The peaking color can be selected using Custom Setting d8 (Peaking highlight color). Choose from Red, Yellow, Blue, and White. Focus peaking cannot be used with Active D-Lighting (see this section) or electronic vibration reduction (see this section) and is not displayed at a frame size of 1920 × 1080 (slow-mo) or 3840 × 2160.

The focus peaking feature of d850 made this technique very easy to use. Here are a few pictures: 6 segment panorama, each segment is a stack of 3 to 4 30-second exposures.
