You can look right at this bass and not see any sign. of how Fodera can get it to sound like a big, electrified acoustic guitar-cello thing with a deep bass guitar fundamental;
14 Μαρ 2007 · I bought a Monarch Standard 4 string last December. It's super-easy to play, weighs only 8.5 pounds, and is quite versatile. I even like the sound of the front pickup soloed and I'm not normally a fan of that sound. Mine has dual coils and that allows more tonal options. It cost a small fortune but I can't say I regret it.
1 Ιουλ 2022 · The playability of this thing is insane! When they say strings under the frets, they mean it on these. I had to raise the action up a bit and it’s still the lowest action on any bass I own. Looking forward to playing it live soon. Is it worth the price?

Fodera is amazing and they make high class instruments, but they're a big company and for them, you're one of hundreds of customers. For a fraction of the price you can have an amazing instrument that was truly built for you.

30 Αυγ 2004 · #1. I just got this Fodera Monarch a few days ago from Bass Central. I can definitely see why there’s so much fuss about these instruments. It plays so easily right out of the box. Great responsiveness, sustain, and it sounds good in all registers. It’s also very unforgiving for poor technique, due to the clarity.
