The Foggia Airfield Complex was a series of World War II military airfields located within a 40 km (25 mi) radius of Foggia, in the Province of Foggia, Italy.

20 Δεκ 2010 · The Foggia Airfield Complex was not an airfield but a range of about 30 airfields on the Tavoliere plain around Foggia, Apulia, Italy. The area had already been of strategic importance during World War I, but it became even more so during the Albanian and Greek campaigns of 1940-1941.

This memorial commemorates almost 2,300 airmen who lost their lives during the Second World War whilst serving with the Commonwealth Air Forces flying from bases in Austria, Italy, Sicily, islands of the Adriatic and Mediterranean, Malta, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, West Africa, Yugoslavia and Gibraltar, and who have no known grave.
