14 Αυγ 2013 · If your gas cap is leaking gas thru the vent you're filling the tank too full. If it's leaking around the base of the cap your gasket is shot, or the neck of the tank is deformed. IH dealers used to have a special tool for re-forming the neck of the gas tank, but doubt any dealers still have them.
11 Φεβ 2021 · Needed a couple new fuel caps and came across ihgascap.com. Enter your gas tractor model and serial number and they send you a cap. You can enter up to six tractors at a time, so I registered six of my eight gas tractors on 2/3/21.
8 Απρ 2017 · If you know where the vent hole is on your gas cap you can try to clear it using either a fine pin or, if that is too thick, a strand of wire from a piece of stranded electrical wire. What I do is cut about 2-3 inches off a piece of wire, strip the insulation off, and then you have all the strands you could possibly need.
12 Ιουν 2015 · My gas cap leaks due to the bumpiness of my field, and I am trying to figure out a way to stop it from doing that. I have the original cap that came with my '50 8N, yet currently use a new one that I bought at TSC because the old cap leaked as well. Has anyone come up with an easy way to fix this?
