To earn a B.A. in Anthropology, students take at least 11 courses in Anthropology for a total of 33 semester credit hours, including introductory courses in cultural, biological, and archaeological anthropology.
The B.S. in Forensic Anthropology will require successful completion of 43 hours, which includes 33 major hours plus an additional 10 hours of pre-requisite coursework. In addition to these credit hours, the degree program will encourage undergraduate research, particularly among those with graduate or professional school aspirations.
Requirements. Certificate Hours Requirement. The certificate program requires a minimum of 18 credit hours. Students must earn at least a 3.0 GPA across all coursework leading to the Certificate in Forensic Studies. Required Courses.
The BS in forensic anthropology prepares you for graduate study in disciplines such as forensic anthropology, human skeletal biology and forensic pathology; medical school; work with coroner’s offices; autopsy technician careers.
Students work with an adviser from the Anthropology program to select from a flexible range of courses that best suit their interests and Ohio University's requirements for graduation.
