For users with small hands or shorter fingers, the extended reach lever makes the EMR-A a joy to use. For duty and defense ARs, we recommend the standard lever. A 10.9lb rated magazine catch spring is included with each EMR-A.
EMR-A was designed from the beginning to be more compatible with a factory bolt catch. Some ambi mag catches can interfere with the operation of a factory bolt catch's lower paddle, as their levers are quite close to the factory bolt catch's tiny lower paddle.

23 Ιαν 2020 · The EMR-A comes in two different models – standard and extended reach. My model is the extended. FCD recommends the standard reach model for defensive rifles, but in my opinion, the difference between the two (0.09″) shouldn’t make a huge difference safety-wise.
