data is ready on the NOAA server. Don't forget to try out the Measure tool in the left column to see how far a feature is from your point of interest! (non-loop mode only) Please send bug reports, questions, comments to: mattonderlinde@weathernerds.org
This is my current list of Level 2 radar sources that still is operational - and they require being accessed from a phone: www.simuawips.com/mobile (only works with phones but is free) Joshua's Wx radar app- (I use this with Radarscope, it more than holds it's own) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=joshuatee.wx&hl=en_US
23 Αυγ 2023 · Level-2 NEXRAD data include three meteorological base data quantities: reflectivity, mean radial velocity, and spectrum width. With the advent of dual polarization beginning in 2011, additional base products of differential reflectivity, correlation coefficient and differential phase are available.
Supercell Wx is a free, open source application to visualize live and archive NEXRAD Level 2 and Level 3 data, and severe weather alerts. It displays continuously updating weather data on top of a responsive map, providing the capability to monitor weather events using reflectivity, velocity, and other products.
With this application, you can read and view Level II files in the browser, no installation necessary. And you can inspect the data in ways that usually require expensive licenses or subscriptions. Use this site to analyze historical data or monitor weather events in real time.
Level-II and Level-III NEXRAD data include three meteorological base data quantities: reflectivity, mean radial velocity, and spectrum width as well as 40+ products generated using computer algorithms.
Full 3D level 2 radar. Multithreaded data loading. No limit on number of files it can browse through. Load files in real time as they are updated. Display base radar products (Reflectivity, Radial Velocity, Spectrum Width, Correlation Coefficient, Differential Reflectivity, Differential Phase Shift)
