4 Μαρ 2009 · The program, called Wind for Schools, aims to provide students, teachers, and communities with an up-close look at how wind energy works through a combination of turbines and a free K-12 curriculum developed by the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project.
The Wind for Schools Project approach is to install small wind turbines at rural schools, initially replicating the Colorado pilot process in five Great Plains states. In the first year (spring 2007 to spring 2008), turbines will be installed at three to five schools per state.
