WHEELS AND CONTACT POINTS. This page details how to setup and configure the contact and friction models for your aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator. These values can all be set in the Aircraft Editor from the Contact Points section of the Flight Model tab:

The simulation will check through the list of contact points and find the first spring reaction contact point - either a wheel, skid, or a ski - which is located in front of the center of gravity of the empty aircraft. This contact point will initially be considered as main front landing gear.
19 Απρ 2005 · Basic info: The contact points are located in the aircraft.cfg file that is located in the main aircraft folder of each aircraft in the flight sim directory. They appear as- [contact_points] Underneath this heading is typically 3 lines of information which defines the wheels.
Contact points for undercarriage are described in some detail in the FSX (and P3D) SDK but what is missing are some illustrations to explain how undercarriage contact points work. This is Milton Shupe's XA-38 Grizzly with the gear fully extended (keyframe 100):–.

I need a bit of help in getting the mains and nose wheels to contact the ground properly...The wheels appear to be 'floating' slightly above the surface..I suspect the answer may be in adjusting the contact points, but have no idea where to start...Any help would be appreciated..Thanks..Ron.
14 Απρ 2005 · First, have you had a look at the Contact Points section of the Aircraft Container SDK?There's also a utility called Aircraft Container Manager (ACM) which eases much of the pain, and actually helps you understand the relationships.
28 Φεβ 2021 · Posted March 2, 2021. Try this: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=92149. It is an 'update' of the aircraft cfg (including contact points). You will notice the compression values have been changed as is the position of the nose gear.
