Ten Thousand Words is, in my mind, one of the best Avett Brothers songs ever. It was the second song I fell in love with, after The Once and Future Carpenter. With that in mind, I will break down some of the highlights for me. First - the song in general is, at least a little, about anxiety.
Agree - Avett music lyrics are pretty kid friendly compared to some similar bands. I've seen them in concert a dozen times at least and while there is an occasional whiff of weed in the air like at any concert, I've never seen anything that would make me hesitate to take a kid there.
