  1. Details. Three duplex cabins (6 units) are furnished with accommodations for up to a maximum of 4 to 6 people per cabin. Each cabin is equipped with kitchen appliances, utensils and linens. The cabins have a full bath, central A/C and heat, 2 bedrooms and a living room area. The cabins are on stilts and accessible by steps only.

  3. To obtain a beach wheelchair: Visit any Park Board operated beach park (East Beach, Stewart Beach, or Dellanera RV Park) Ask the gate attendant for a beach wheelchair. Provide a driver’s license to be held until the return of the chair. Beach wheelchairs are offered first-come-first-served, with no reservations or fees required.

  5. Galveston Island State Park, located on the western part of the Island, protects 2,000 acres of the upper Gulf Coast barrier island ecosystem. Visitors may spot raccoons, armadillos, marsh rabbits, birds, and more in the park’s prairies, wetlands, and beaches.

  6. A maximum of eight people permitted per campsite unless a Premium site is reserved. Quiet time is from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. Excess parking fee is required at campsites with more than two vehicles (including trailers). Campsite must be kept clean; all trash must be picked up before you leave.

  7. Galveston Island State Park is a popular outdoor recreation area located on the west end of Galveston Island. The park spans over 2,000 acres and includes several miles of beachfront, as well as marshlands, dunes, and coastal prairies.
