Several friends told us about this place back in the woods of the Shawnee National Forest and said it was a must visit. They were right, a short hike leads you to some panoramic vistas and large rock formations. The views are awesome. The trail is easy to walk and even has some walkways and decks. I highly recommend.

The Observation Trail is a 1/4-mile flagstone loop containing unique sandstone rock formations and panoramic views of the surrounding Garden of the God Wilderness within the Shawnee National Forest. There are older, vault toilets near the trailhead.
The Garden of the Gods Trail offers magnificent vistas and unusual rock formations. With views over the hills of Shawnee Forest, educational signage along the trail highlights the distinctive sandstone bluffs' diverse historical and geological aspects.
