31 Αυγ 2015 · #2 · Aug 31, 2015. I've rebuilt a 98 Tassajara a couple of times. I'd look for 9 speed parts, personally. The decent 8 speed parts are getting harder to find. Cost-wise, the latest (10x2 or 11x2) will probably end up being more than a new low-end bike.
