Genome editing techniques have been developed to introduce precise and predictable genome modifications into plants to obtain desired traits, and they are giving rise to precision breeding techniques that are defining the next-generation of plant breeding (Chen et al., 2019) (Figure 1).
23 Μαρ 2021 · The emergence of genome editing strategies has brought advanced versatile tools of plant breeding for genetic manipulations in plants. It introduces site-directed mutagenesis efficiently for crop improvements related to enhanced yield, improved quality, and stress tolerance.
