In 50s movies a servant would regularly say, to a hotel-guest for example: "Ja, meine Dame". So this is the literal translation of "Yes, ma'am/madam/my dame". But please listen to the other commentators and don't use this in normal conversations. You will sound very weird.
In the spotlight today is the German word jawohl, a rather archaic, military term that’s made a comeback in ironic usage. But is “jawohl” just a tongue-in-cheek way of saying yes in German? Where does the word come from, what’s it got to do with the military, and is there really a Nazi connotation?
As a general rule: yes, it means "Leck mich am Arsch" :) It has not quite the rudeness it has in English and it's more of a fixed expression than actual request. Meaning something like "Yeah, yeah, I get it.. shut the fuck up already.."
