Global media cul-tures create a continuous cultural exchange, in which crucial aspects such as identity, nationality, religion, behavioural norms and way of life are con-tinuously questioned and challenged.
How does this approach shape a particular Chinese style in global cinema? How does this global production process impact local media, art, and culture? Should we conceive of cultural globalization as a crosscultural translation that promotes the comprehension of a work or access to this work?
To this end, the transformation of the world into a global media sphere is the result of a dynamic interaction between macro processes (history, economy, technology, politics and modes of social organization) and the profoundly intimate and intricate microcosms of a person’s life – the realm of the individual subject.
